The University of North London recently joined forces with London Guildhall University to form London Metropolitan University, a notable and respected name in London-area academics. Though the University of North London no longer technically exists, 1994 graduate Caroline Rodgers, social worker believes the spirit of the university and its rich academic legacy live in through London Metropolitan.

Caroline Rodgers social worker earned both her BSc hons in Social Science, as well as her Certificate of Qualified Social Worked, from the esteemed institution over 20 years ago, and continues to proudly represent the honor and virtue of the North London’s strong academic history, impact and legacy when and wherever she can. Caroline Rodgers, a Social Worker, qualified as a social worker in 1994, the year she received BSc honors in Social Science and a Certificate of Qualified Social Worker, or CQSW, from University of North London.

Since that time, Caroline Rodgers, a Social Worker, has worked in the field of child protection, children with disabilities and adoption in several London boroughs. In 1994 she began working for the London Borough of Haringey Children’s Services, a position she held until 1996. That was the year she began working in the London Borough of Waltham Forest, in the Adoption and Fostering team. Caroline Rodgers Social Worker, stayed in Waltham Forest until 1998, when she went bac t the London Borough of Haringey’s Children’s Services, where she worked with children with disabilities.

The BASW is the largest professional association for social work in the United Kingdom, and has a members’ code of ethics that outlines best social work practice and works to support social workers and care managers through education and resources.

The BASW Code of Ethics states that all social workers have an obligation to promote social justice, in relation to society in general and in relation to the people with whom they work and serve. Social workers in the UK, the Code states, must challenge discrimination, recognize diversity, distribute resources, challenge unjust policies and practices, and work in solidarity with one another.
